Good gravy. Where does the time go? The allergy yuck turned into some other form of yuck that I had last week. This crap is no fun. Then throw some serious carpal tunnel pain on top of it and had doctor’s appointments and back to school. I’m sorry I didn’t post last week!

So right now I FEEL GOOD. And fat. I think my birthday celebrations caught up with me late. What’s my plan?

  • Monday – Evening bike ride (it’s actually cool enough)
  • Tuesday – Gym
  • Wednesday – Evening walk or bike ride
  • Thursday – Gym
  • Friday – not sure yet.

And eating better. I need to eat better, drink more water and move, move, move.  I worked today since my son is back in school and we changed my work schedule. It wasn’t really changed to accommodate me going to the gym or anything like that, but it will be nice to have a more set schedule. I am so relieved that my son has gone back to school and I can put a little more focus back on my health. Hopefully the weather continues to cooperate so that I can be outside more. The corn is done pollinating so I can breathe again!! Praise the Lord! Why is it pollen but pollinating or pollinate? English is weird.

Back on track here… I don’t know what my weight is right now. I don’t know what my measurements are. I know they are not going the direction I want them to be going, but it is all on me. I am accountable and I must take the bull by the horns and FIX IT NOW. It is being fixed. I must get off the computer and go move, so this is the end of my Mamavation Post. Plus my hands hurt. Stupid carpal tunnel.

XOXO

  3. ugh allergies + CTS = craptasticness (yeah, my English is weird too :P )

I hope you have a better week and that you are able to get back into a routine now that school has started up again :)

  4. I have carpel tunnel syndrome too…it gets really bad when I’m preggo….it sucks #donkeyballs.

Just pick a couple of things to concentrate on if you are coming back. Don’t get overwhelmed and do too much. Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. You don’t want to be too pooped to pop…that’s what we say in my house…I know silly. XXOO

  5. Take those baby steps so you don’t get overwhelmed. We want you to stay with us! Take care and heal!

  6. Baby steps right now. Glad to see you back.

  7. I’m taking baby steps this week too – so as they say “we’re in it together!”

  8. Sounds like a lot of mamas were sick this week! Glad to see you back and way to get movin’!

  9. I just had carpel tunnel surgery in Feb. I definitely know your pain! I have been going to a chiropractor 2 times a week now for neck/back pain (its all messed up), but the point is.. he gave me some exercises to do with my hand that I had surgery on. (A little background info on why I asked him- the surgery didn’t help and they released me fully from workers comp even tho I kept complaining of pain? Funny how they know your fixed but your still in pain- another story LOL) Anyway.. after one week of doing stretches on that arm, I have seen an improvement!!

If I could explain over the comment I would.. well, I’ll try.. the one that helped me is to hold your arm straight out; make a fist; hold your fist all the way down while keeping your arm straight.. you will feel it pull up top.. you can also rotate it (your arm) slightly towards your body while keeping it straight.. the way he explained it to me was that it works the top muscles which helps stregthen the muscles that are pulling in your carpel tunnel..

Everyone is different, but if I could do it all over, I would have chosen NOT to do the surgery.. just keep working on it and it will get better.. Good luck! Looking forward to reading your progress next week. Hope this info makes sense.. hard to write the steps out LOL
